Names for New Working Dog...

Weight pull, Protection, Agility, Flyball... you name it!

Postby RedChrome » November 7th, 2007, 1:21 pm

OK, I know recently I said I turned down 2 good prospects, well I'm taking the GSD puppy. Things changed and I decided the time was right. SO,OK, I'm getting a new working dog. A GSD puppy out of Czech and German imported parents. It is a male and more than likely a Blk/Tan.

My names I like are:

Bing-Extrovert
Cathal-Courageous Bear
Etta-Strong fighter
Zah-Tough
Stark-Strong
Stachel-Stinger
Zahne-Teeth
Alaric-Ruler over all
Bomber-
Piston-
Fuse-
Edge-
Stroker-
Trytan-
Turbo-
Brock-short for Edelbrock
Rhino-short for Rhinoliner

My favorite is.......................KEIFER which means Jaws!!!! I'm 90% sure that's what I'm naming him.

I like Zah too, and Alaric, Zahne and Stachel. Interesting, different, etc.

Bing seems more of a bouncy, JRT type of name...;) I like it though. :) Etta sounds like a girl name. Stark, I think it will be heard as "Shark"...and that may not be the best idea. ;) Rhino makes me thing of a big fat dog. lol

The names, Bomber, Piston, Edge, Fuse, etc...are all names I hear a lot in flyball...for crazy flyball border collies. Seem a little too obvious, if you know what I mean.

I always thought the name Thunder was pretty nice for a working breed.

I want something VERY unique and different but "brave" sounding etc. I googled German names but I don't like a lot of them.

I'll know better once I get him.

Try Czech names and dutch names.... those are popular among shepherds too.

Thanks It's made up! LOL It's a play off the German Name Osirris. All my dog's have a color and the word Khrome in their reg'd names. I figured people would think I was a freak. lol

I think it'd be awesome to have a working dog with a call name of Fluffy. See the decoys shake in fear because Fluffy is next on the field. Good times.

Oh yeah, I do like the name Ozai though, it is original! Not quite as good as Fluffy, but.... :|
