oh no...what have I done...

Postby Insomnia » March 10th, 2006, 12:02 pm

another thing.........I read online that if the dog's skin is in poor health, even with treatment, he might get infected again while he's on the treatment......damn..so much trouble, do I have to change her bedding daily? Should I bleach my balcony daily as well as his dog house? Do I wash his bedding or just throw it away and put in new ones? This scarpotic mange thing is really scaring me.

you have to get the puppy on the best food possible first. then , you have to make sure the puppys immune system doesnt feel any stress.. as stress can aggrevate the mange.. i would clean/disinfect his area , and his sleeping quarters.. i would also get bee pollen with propylis and give him that , with some vitamin c capsules (break in half and give one pill a day mixed with his food) can you get salmon oil? the kind that comes in a pump or a bottle for dogs? if so, get that too to give him... of course play with him, and spend time with him too. the sarcopic mange needs to be treated carefully, i would give him new blankets and then toss the old ones away in a garbage bag and put outside.. i think it takes a few days for the baths and shots to start working, then the mites start dying off.. you should be ok after a week as long as you keep everything clean, and get rid of all blankets he slept on and keep him happy and stress free.. dont worry, it can be cured and taken care of.. make sure you get a disinfectent and wash yourself with it too.. here are some links on sarcopic mange

not until he is ok per the vet, and the vet verifies that the mange is not contagious anymore.
