At least the owner did the right thing. I love my dogs but if one of them bit my child I would put them down also.

I agree completely. I hate stories like this because I fear that pet stores will quit allowing you to bring pets in - that's the best place for Inara to get socialized so she DOESN'T ever do something like that.

Its a horrible story.

So when she saw little Danielle patting a friendly looking rottweiler in PETCO Monday afternoon, she thought nothing of it.


Not to say that this is the family's fault, but a mother should not find out that her child is petting a dog by seeing it, they should always ask both parent and owner or be accompanied by the parent.

I also just hate this whole thing. They've banned Pit Bulls from the Petcetera here :evil: :x

Dog shouldn't have been in there, child shouldn't have been unattended.

How is it the stores fault that the mother wasn't paying attention? If this had happened on the street, what then?? Who would she sue then?
