What a great movie! I've never hated a villain in a movie like I did in this one...at the very beginning when he killed those two farmers I took it personal and was nearly sobbing because I was so mad! It takes superb acting and a wonderful director to get that kind of reaction out of the audience.

I saw Ratatouille. :) It was so cute and adults will like it probably more than kids. But EAT before you go, because it is all about food and I swear, you get so hungry.

The rats are too cute for words...I like the Dad rat the best. He had this big snout and the most adorable eyes.

Freedom Writers - great movie, very touching, but I'm also a sap for true stories like that.[/i]

we went to see the new Simpsons Movie last night and I thought it was pretty good. I laughed a few times. I was too busy being pissed off that my M & M's were stale that I paid $423 for!

I rented Crank and Bridge to Terebithia last night. My daughter saw BtT and said she cried. Has anyone seen it, or is it just a kid movie?

The Gridiron Gang - really good flick, remarkably touching even though it had the Rock and Xzibit in it.

The Good Shepherd - felt like the longest movie in the history of long movies...not sure why it got such good reviews.

We watched Alexander last night, it was... looooooong... I guess it was good, but by the end of it I was just hoping it would end soon. The first disk was interesting, but by the second hour and a half it was just not holding my attention. Val Kilmer is not so yummy in this movie.

We also watched the Saint. Val Kilmer is definately yummy in this one.

I'm working on DSO pictures, so the entire day is going to be watching movies...

I just finished The Legend of Ron Jeremy documentary. Let's just say it was "interesting"

Million Dollar Baby - excellent, but definately hit home on why my parents were a "little" set against my idea of boxing. It was the first time I watched it, bad idea because it was really distracting

Ocean's Eleven - still pretty good, but you miss stuff while you're trying to do pictures.

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen - very fun and easy to just listen to.

Mona Lisa Smile - good movie, a little predictable, but not completely.

(I'm getting really tired of formatting pictures....)

OK, I went through the entire thread and jotted down a few I want to see. I have a hard time finding movies I like. I'm not entertained by violence and romance/romantic comedies don't really do it for me, either. I like courtroom dramas, really funny movies that don't insult my ability to think, animation done well and stuff that is kind of unique. Most everyone here is mentioning newer movies so here are a few old ones:
"The Theory of Flight" - Kevin Branaugh, Helena Bonham Carter.
"Spirited Away" - Japanese animation, NOT a comedy but intriguing for kids and adults.
"Music Box" - Jessica Lange. It's pretty old but I liked it enough to buy it.
"Happy, TX" - I would have never rented it if a friend hadn't told me to. I laughed my a$$ off!

Snakes On A Plane - anticipated it being horrible, and I wasn't wrong!

Saw Deja Vu last night. AWESOME ( and confusing) movie even though Val Kilmer IS a tad "fluffy" in it.
