Well, here are pics of the crew...
First is Pepper. We adpted him in October of 2002. We wanted a friend for our 15 year old labx. He's our old man at 9 years old... we think anyway
We adopted him from a rescue when he was 5-6 yo. He had been tied up to a dog house for 4 years, all day, all night, no matter what the weather. He had been on a choke chain, so now he wears a harness, since his throat is damaged. He's kind of a loner, doesn't really like his picture being taken.
Next is Tucker... after our labx passed away from renal failure, we waited a bit before we decided to adopt again. We adopted a pittie from the Hartford Pound, but we re-homed her (that's another thread). We decided to wait a few months before we wanted to adopt again since we were so heartbroken about Casey. Then I recieved an urgent email from the ACO in Hartford about a dog that was due to be PTS. I spent an entire day making sure he was safe, spoke to my friend who runs a rescue and decided we would foster him. We're pretty sure he has some shep in him and maybe some pittie... not quite sure though. He's a goofy mutt and we love him
Then came our Rory... another urgent from Hartford. I pulled her and transported her to a foster after a couple of days. We just fell in love with her and my husband was dying for another little girl, but we thought 2 was enough. I kept in contact with her foster and while she was there, the fosters 2 LLhasa's were terrorize her, they were just not nice dogs. One day Rory had enough and she picked one of them up and shook him. The foster told me this and said she was considering euthing. Well, I wasn't about to let that happen, so I picked her up. She was supposed to be a foster, but my husband just couldn't let go.
