Thanks, had my eyebrows done just for the occassion. :D

She was a scheduled c-section and they both got up at like 5:00 in the morning. That last picture wasn't taken until we left the hospital at about 11:00 that night so needless to say they both needed a little sleep. Wait til they get home, they'll need even more.

How long do they allow Moms to stay in the hospital now? 24 years ago, they let you stay 2 days and you were out. It was the only rest I had until he went to college.

Oh, and we need more stats; How much does she weigh and how long is she? She looks like a little peanut. :giggle:

Please forgive what is most likely an extremely dumb question - what is that on her bellybutton in the first couple pics?

lmao it is the umbilical cord, which is much smaller before you take the baby home, and then you have to wait for it to fall off before they can take a real bath.

 I thought it was just a skinny little flesh-colored thing...

(sorry to hijack the thread - I'm obviously not well-versed when it comes to babies!)

Well, she had her c-section Friday morning and is coming home this morning so they kept her 3 days. Back when I had mine by c-section, they kept me 5 days. Ahh, how times change.

She was 7 pounds, 10 ounces, 20 inches long. In looking at her pictures, she looks just like my son did when he was born. She's a sweetie and already has my husband wrapped around her little finger. He's already talking to her about coordinating offenses (football) and mastering the cross face (wrestling move). No boys will be taking advantage of her in the future.

Oh - and the belly button thing....I forgot how big the cord is to start with too. But, look at your belly button - kind of explains the size of the cord. YUCK!

Beautiful family! Don't they put a cap like thing on the cord now & tie it of? It doesn't look as gross to me as they used to.

No new pictures yet. My son has the paparazzi alert out, so anytime I break out the camera he's got his hands up. Give me till the weekend and I'm sure I'll have a bunch more.

And, I do need help with her baby nickname, so you can pitch in on that. I call her sister (Kayla) either Kayla Bayla or Kayla Bunny. I was calling her Teeny Beany or Teeny Weeny, but we kind of use those for Athena already, so that doesn't work so well.
