CHERRY BLOSSOMS!!!

Everything that doesn't fit anywhere else!

Postby JCleve86 » March 3rd, 2006, 2:46 pm

Whelp, a few days ago I looked outside my window and saw that my FAVORITE trees are blooming flowers! Cherry Blossoms! YAY! The first sign of spring, as far as I'm concerned. I find these trees just absolutely stunning, especially because at least in these here parts, the flowers bloom, and we get to revel in their glory for a few weeks, and than they die. It's such a short period of time that I've learned to REALLY enjoy them while they are here. Maybe it will cheer up those of you bitching about the cold. :D

I should note that while my view is nearly identical, that's NOT my picture...I just found it the ever glorious google image search to share what I'm seeing with ya'll!

How pretty :) I just noticed about the same on my pear trees the other day, except they are full of the prettiest white flowers.

Of course, don't ask me about them in a few months, when I'll be absolutely hating them and hauling "lil red" wagon loads of pears into the woods..

I am so jealous...hopefully, after this weekend, the snow will be all gone and we can move on to spring!

Crappy weather? What's crappy about rain mixed with snow, with sleet, with hail, with snow for real..and a bit of wind and lightening thrown in for spits and giggles?

I'm sorry Vi, you can come visit me!! My tulips & daffodils are blooming & my azalea is too. I'm about to throw some seeds in the ground & plant some flowers in my containers.

Come on down Vi! Of course, this summer, when you brain begins to melt you might change your mind but you'll get used to it. I could never get used to being cold, never. I have had too many broken bones and when I get cold they ALL hurt.

There's no such thing as leaves or flowers growing around here. I'm still wearing my winter coat, and when you breathe out it's all vapour.

We're still waiting for the last march snow storm, and then we should be good. :|
