CGC Testing Will Be Available Throughout The Day.
8:00 am- Conformation Show with the National Canine Association
We are honored to have the National Canine Association (NCA) hold a
conformation show Saturday morning. If you're new to NCA, they are a
wonderful organization that wants to 'put the fun' back into showing
by leveling the playing field between owners and professional
handlers. Come meet this awesome group of people and then strut your
stuff with your dog!
12:00 am- Youth Obedience
Youths are encouraged to bring out their dogs and show what they can
do! From simple obedience to silly dog tricks, come and show off your
dog. Each team will receive a critique from one of our fine judges
and a ribbon to mark your achievement. Be a star with your dog!

K9 ProSports NW Regional Trials Begin

Saturday afternoon is the K9 ProSports Northwest Regional Trials.
Here members and non-members alike may compete their dogs in the
Training, Personal Protection Dog, and Patrol Dog Divisions.
Obedience, Civil Agitation, Attack On Handler and several other
scenerios will be offered to test the protective abilities of your
dog in real world situations. Points toward Top Dog of the Year and
Cash Awards are available for K9 Pro Sports members. (Membership
applications will be available at the trial.)
1:00 pm- K9 ProSports Instructional Seminar
Master Trainer Butch Cappel will give a seminar on training the
personal protection and patrol dog.
1:30 pm- K9PS Training Division
This event is open to any person over the age of 13 years old wishing
to compete and see where they and their dog stand with out having to
compete in the full requirements of the PPD exercise. Competition
includes on-leash obedience and a Civil Agitation Exercise.
Intermission And Set Up /
During the intermission and set up for Personal Protection Division,
Mr. Cappel will give a short talk entitled "How To Break Up A Dog
Fight & Live To Tell About It!"
2:30 pm- K9PS Personal Protection Dog Division
This competition is open to any person over the age of 13 that wishes
to compete. A Personal Protection Dog (PPD) is defined as one with
the abilities to detect a possible threat and, at the handlers
discretion, deter and defend its handler from the threat.
3:30 pm- K9PS Patrol Dog Division
The PD Division is open to any member 13 years of age or older
wishing to compete. The patrol dog is defined as one with the
abilities and, at the discretion of the handler, to apprehend and
control the potential threat.
5:00 pm - Break for Dinner
We will take a 1 hr break for dinner. Food vendors will be available
on site.
6:00 pm- Agitation Line
This is your chance to try your dog on an actual Agitation Line.
ProSports founder Butch Cappel, Brian Lehfeldt and Tim Steagall will
work your dog. Have fun taking 'the rabbit' and learn what your dog
can do!
7:00 pm- K9 ProSports Awards Ceremony
Awards will be given for the top scoring dogs in the trial. CASH
AWARDS will be given to top scoring K9 ProSports members in the PPD
and PD Divisions. Come congratulate the winners in the trial!
