The Rest Of The Pack

Postby satanscheerleader » January 12th, 2006, 9:36 am

I figured I'd be the first to post some pics of the human part of the pack.
This is Daemon. He's nine. He's homeschooled so we get to hang out everyday. How cool is that! He's my right hand man. Assistant extrodinaire and the best big brother on the planet!
Image
This is Raven. She will be three in a couple of months. She's a little sweetie and the resident dog boss arounder. She's the apple of her dad's eye and a huge mum suck!
Image
Here's the boyfriend, James. He is a total enabler. I blame the houseful of dogs on him since he works his but off so I can feed the need. Seriously though, he is the silent partner. He is the man behind the scenes who makes it possible for me to have the constant influx of fosters. He doesn't interact with the dogs much because I know he has a harder time getting attached and letting them go but he is always showing up with chew toys, new kennel doors, meds, you name it. Not only that but being supportive of me being a stay at home mum so I can cater to the needs of the human, canine and feline kids.
Image
And here's the only picture of me anyone will see this decade. I hate getting my picture taken but I let Daemon take this one cause his grandma sent him a disposible camera. I'll let him take another one when I'm in my forties.

That is a GREAT picture of Miss Raven!! I love that girl's face! And Daemon always looks like such a gentle soul. You have great kids Zoe. And you & James are pretty cool too!

Thanks for sharing!

I envy you being able to stay home and home school your kids. I wish I
could, especially since I am not fond of how and what they teach our kids.

She's a little sweetie and the resident dog boss arounder.

This made me crack up because my 4 year old is the same way. And what's funnier is that the dogs listen to her!

I TOTALLY condisider myself lucky. I was even able to bring him to work with me before I had my daughter. It's so cool. Homeschooling in B.C. rocks too because you don't have to follow the curriculum. You can do whatever style you want. Their curriculum, make up your own, child led, whatever. There is alot more freedom than if I was living in other provinces. I love it. He went to kindergarten {his choice} and he hated it.

It's so weird but none of my dogs have been able to understand the kids enough to listen to actual commands from them. At least until Daemon got older. It's like the dogs really want to but they just don't get it. I'll have Raven hold a cookie and try to get them to do something, anything and the dogs just try all the tricks cause they have no clue what they are saying. It's so weird because I have seen friends dog listen to commands from their little kids. Maybe my dogs aren't as smart as I give them credit for. Doesn't stop Raven though. She just barrels her way through them spouting off things. They all just kinda scurrey away or try to smoother her in kisses depending which they think may work the best.
