Boxer tails are very similar to bullydog tails. Or whips, I should say. Let's just say I don't regret docking their tails one eency bit.

The dog's new owners will be pretty surprised when their "chocolate lab/boxer mix" makes his first trip to the dog park, huh? And then it will come out that Fluffy is in fact one of those awful Pit Bulls.

Not telling people what they are getting into is horrible for this breed.

I always think the same thing when I see one of the many "boxer/Lab" mixes, or Lab/Boston mix in this case.

I understand the rescues and shelters doing whatever necessary to get homes for these dogs, but people need to know what they're getting or the dog is liable to be dumped again. :cry:

And this is one of the reasons the breed is in the trouble it is in......adopt them out fast & worry about problems later!!
