Tully's breeder asked me last night where her 10 week stacked shots of Tess were. She likes to evaluate at 10 weeks, says that age gives her the best picture of how the adult dog will look.
I told her that last time I tried to stack Tess (7 1/2 weeks), it was like trying to stack a sackful of eels, but I would try. So, we went out to Puparazzi (a local dog wash/training center where I rent a ring for obedience practice), and I drafted help from one of the owners there. (she shows Portugese Water Dogs)
It turns out that stacking Tess is no longer like stacking a sackful of eels, as long as you keep the fish right in front of her nose. If the fish moves, Tess follows.
"Fish!"
Then a woman came over who works there in that little shopping center, and likes to come in to visit the dogs. Of course, she wanted to hold the puppy! Tess was happy to oblige.
Tess loves making new friends! I think this picture best illustrates her personality:
