GROUP SHOT!!

If it's a non-human, non-Pit Bull, family member, post it here!

Here's everyone hanging at the training center this morning:
Image
Wally, Cora, Diesel, and little Athena peeking out from Diesel's crate in the background :)

Cora and Diesel belong to my trainer friend who I have started apprenticing for. Mike is not pictured because the only dog in that picture he gets along with is Wally :shake:

Look at Wally's underpants!!! Sorry, I was hoping teasing him would make him stop being a jerk.

The breed is quite rare with a population of living dogs probably around two hundred.

is this true?? :o

No I think the population number is higher than that! I would say that they are very rare, my guess would be maybe a thousand or two.

I would say that they're very rare, but I definitely wouldn't say that the numbers are that low :) In my area they are probably about 1 Alapaha for every 800-1000 dogs of other breeds. But my area seems to have a higher percentage anyway since we have a good deal of Alapaha breeders in Maine and Mass. Having worked in the pet industry for many years now, until I started going to training in Maine I had never met an Alapaha.
