Anyone live in ky? I am looking for someone to train with. I can't seem to find any WP near me. I really need to go see one to learn how they run.

How much do you feed when trainning? :|

food depends on the intensity of the training. You'll need to up it, but you'll have to judge how much by the condition of your dog.

Check around to see if there are any pit bull clubs in your area, they should be able to put you in touch with someone.

I called a lady that was on the UKC list and turned out she was a judge. They plan to compete next season so they travel to all the meets. She told me they don't have any meets close by. I have 3 kids and would like some local amateur weight pulls. I think I am going to wait till I move to NC to do anything with the real clubs. Ty will be 4 almost 5 could he still pull if I keep him working?

As long as he is healthy & his joints are in good shape I don't see why not.

I have not met to many people who have or even like pits for that matter here. KY is a horrible state when it comes to pits no one understands them. :(

Have you posted in the events section to see who is in your area?

I have a friend that lives in Jacksonville. There are usually 3-4 shows per year in Hickory and Taylorsville. You should not have a problem pulling your dog at 5 years old. The oldest dog that I have seen pulling was around 8-9 years old, Mr. Jaws (R.I.P. old man).

WOW! thats pretty old. You have no idea how ready I am to move. I am trying to order Ty's harness now. I think I am messing up the neck measurement 12" from top of breast bone to the center of his withers. Dose this sound right?

Who are you ordering from? 12" sounds reasonable. What size dog is he?
