Augusta ASR Trial

Weight pull, Protection, Agility, Flyball... you name it!

The pictures were taken by another gal at the trial, but I have permission to use 'em.

HIT went to a Mal but Hardest Hitting went to a little APBT named Shaka! Sadly, I didn't get any photos of that little powerhouse.

There were a lot of dogs there, not just these. There were 18 dogs in entry level alone.

It's awsome to see a working Boxer! She did a good job and I LOVE the guard she has. Wow!

I don't think anybody could pay me enough money to put on a bite suit and ENCOURAGE a cane corso of that size to come barreling at me with the intent to bite. I'd wet myself. And then cry.

We'll let you take a couple bites from Connor and Riggs when you come up here. It's not that bad. :D

Yeah, did you see that part about me wetting myself and crying? Not high on my list of things to do in front of people I've just met!

I'm with you, Liz. That Cane Corso is far bigger than I am -- I'd go fetal and suck my thumb if that dog charged at me.

My computer is being slow so I can't watch the vids tonight, but those pictures are very cool. We were just talking about ASR today at club. I don't know much about it, I should do some more research . . .

That Cane Corso is huge!!! I didnt ealize how big they were!!! Great pics though.

When I was younger we went to a military police dog training center and i got to put on a sleeve and have a dog bite. I am not sure the thickness of the sleeve or anything but you can definetly feel the power of the dog oh my goodness!!!!! It was a great experience though... you feel much more alive after you have a dog bite you like that!!!

I :heartbeat: the cane corsos! I fall in love every time I see a pic of one.

I agree, that boxer is awesome, love that focus, and looks like she had a pretty decent bite?

how much of a time commitment are protection sports generally?
I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day, tomorrow doesn't look good either.

i let my boss' mal knox bite me once, and it didn't hurt or scare me bc i'm a little girl and when he bit the sleeve (and he's fully trained, very serious) his pulling on it pulled my arm to the back of the sleeve away from the bitebar so i didn't even feel the bite. it was actually really cool, but you realize how powerful these animals are, and knox is a NICE mal, but he's no super muscular pitbull, i can't imagine taking a hit or a bite from one of them!

i have a neopolitan mastiff that's starting protection at my school, i'll have to take pics! his name is sully, and he's a lover! but he will kill you if he has to!
