Here's Mike!

Post your pics and vids here.

Postby SisMorphine » July 10th, 2006, 12:16 pm

EDIT:
His name has been changed to Mike and he will be known as such from here on out. Mike Hunt.
Oh yeah . . . and he's staying with me forevah!

So here are pics of my foster, Charlie. He's a 1 or 1.5 year old pit bull/Akita mix. He's damn handsome.

His default position is "sit pretty" so I'm trying to clean it up. Here he is trying so hard to just do a regular sit, but you can see that little paw just wants to go up . . .
Image

And he gives in. I love this picture. "Hey lady. I do believe the treats are over there."
Image

"I know we came in this gate. I wonder if we can go back out through it . . ."
Image

"Eh, there are no treats out there anyway."
Image

Just look at that face! I love his eyes . . .

Well today I was spraying down a crate and found that he loves to drink out of the hose. Halo attacks the hose viciously, but he walked up and was softly drinking out of it. He takes his treats very gently too. He's such a good boy.

Not sure. I'll have to check with Chris and see but that's what the shelter said and basically when you look at him that is EXACTLY what you see. I'm willing to bet his previous owners probably knew the parents in some way . . .

Nandie definitely looks like a pit mix to me, but I'd say different from Charlie. Charlie looks super Akita-like. Chris said that the Akita/pit bull was the mix the shelter had him as, so we don't know for sure, but I think it's a damn good guess. He's definitely Akita/something as far as I'm concerned. And SUCH a good boy!

Who knows? Far too much sun and laughing brings about the best ideas I guess. But the name fits him perfectly! :D

Oh no, that's exactly the reason it's his name. Fully planned out.

WOW! I love Mike Hunt! (hehehe)

He is so handsome. He looks alot like a dog that came into the shelter a couple years ago named Minnie. She was a GSD/Pit Bull. I wanted to take her home SOOO bad.

I'm SO GLAD I took this guy on to foster and even more glad that I failed miserably at it. I was just out training him a few minutes ago and when I released him he immediately ran up and jumped on me! Our bond has started . . . I'm seriously beyond excited about Mike Hunt.

Thank you Chris!!
