Check this out: Months ago Michelle from EBBRR got a call from the Bmore AC that they'd found an emaciated pit bull chained in a backyard and they'd taken her to the shelter. The dog was so thin, she was a walking skeleton and they were afraid she would not make it if she didn't get immediate vet care, which the shelter isn't equipped to provide. Michelle agree to take her on, and I went down and pulled her.

I couldn't believe this dog was still walking. Here's what she looked like:

She was so weak, I carried her to my car and brought her directly to the vet. Not a peep from her, she was just exhausted and sick.

Fast forward to this week, and lookit her now, living the good life in foster care in New Jersey! The white shep mix is also a former EBBRR dog.

I was sooo happy to see these pictures of her, she looks so well fed and happy!

She's still looking for a home, but she's doing GREAT!

What a great thread. Thanks for sharing this. :) This is the kind of stuff I like to see . . . and she is fantastic looking!! I hope she finds a nice, permanent home soon.

was rocky from anywhere in the mid-atlantic? god knows where this poor girl came from, she coulda been sold to someone who just got tired of her. by looking at her, i woulda guessed her age at around 1.5 to 2 years old. but she was in such rough shape, it's so hard to tell.

she was confiscated as a cruelty case, so at one point she was actually probably wanted by the people who had her. poor girl.

and super congrats really need to go to michelle from EBBRR and the foster family. all i did was eval her, pull her, and get her to the vet ASAP! getting her healthy was all michelle and the foster family's doing!

Rocky was found in a North East Shelter. Who knows where he came from before that. Anything is possible. He could have come up from the south. I shure would like to know more about his past history. I think his previous owner cared for him as much as they could or knew how to. They made the right choice to turn him in to a shelter.
