Food Binge

Food, Fitness and how to keep them healthy.

Postby ParisStreetPitCrew » July 26th, 2006, 9:30 am

Last night Sidney got into her bag of food and ate a TON. I'm not sure exactly how much, but it had to be quite a bit-- ate least 5 cups of TW, I would guess, maybe more. When I figured out what she did, I made her throw some of it up. Her belly is distended and she's drinking excessive amounts of water. I can tell she feels icky.
Is there anything I should be doing to help her pass it all through? Should I let her keep drinking so much water?
Do you think she'll be alright, or should I call the doctor to have her seen? I'm not sure what to do. Just keep an eye on her? What should I be looking for?

Thanks. I'm such a paranoid mommy since Piper had bloat. :(

When Ruby ate about 2 pounds of cat food I called the vet and they said to keep an eye on her and not feed her for at least two days.

Her belly was really puffed out, but she didn't seem to be in any discomfort and her gums were the right shade of pink so I just let her be.

Maybe call Timberwolf? It couldn't hurt.

Thanks. I never thought of calling TimberWolf, maybe I'll try that today.
