Strange After-Dinner Behavior?

Food, Fitness and how to keep them healthy.

After Inara comes in from eating, 99.9% of the time she'll start rubbing her head and face all over the carpet, rolling around as she does so. Does anybody else's dog do this? Do you think she's just trying to get raw meat juice off her chin? It's just so strange!

None of my dogs have ever done this. It's . . . odd. I wonder what would happen if you wiped her face before she came in?

Sacha does this after she has gone swimming or after a bath. I'm assuming she's doing it to "clean" her face. She might still do it after you clean it (as Sacha does it no matter how dry her face and ears are), but it's worth a try.

Dexter does that, too. He'll even do it on our legs.

Maybe I'll try wiping her face...there's never anything on it - when it comes to meals, she won't miss a thing! Little oinker even licks the concrete to get any juice spots up! I'll try to get a video of it. It's kinda cute.

Munkee does it occasionally but the others don't.
