I check on the girls, they are both out back in the field, hanging out. No problem, go next door, wake up the neighbor.
Come back home, and call the girls in. They're not moving. Purple is looking at me, and Hopscotch is standing, her butt towards me.
As I get closer, I see Hopscotch is chewing on something. Grass? NO!!! An effing RABBIT!
I get the two little beasties in the house, grap the poop scoopin' shovel and hoe, and scoop up what's left of the rabbit. Its head, chest and front legs are missing. I give him a fling over the fence. I then venture to the spot, and start a search for the missing body parts, and find the entrails.....I lose my tea and toast, and I scoop them up....funny, my body still wants to lose my tea and toast, even though there's now none left in my stomach. Over the fence the entrails go.
Question....no harm in eating fresh rabbit, is there?

) and raw is that most dogs are fed raw meat that has been frozen first, and thus all of the microbes are killed off...not so with freshies. So yeah...I wouldn't think you'd need to be OVERLY concerned, but just keep an eye on them.
). It was disgusting, and she QUICK-ATE some before I could push her away from it...and was totally fine. Just depends on what the critter has I guess.
