Mac vs The Area Rug

Food, Fitness and how to keep them healthy.

*Warning! Gross photo ahead.....*

This is an area rug, of which I am quite fond.

This is Mac, aka "I didn't do NUTHIN".

This is an area rug that is about 5' x 8', minus several strips.

This is Mac, aka "I don't feel too good".

This is about 10 pounds of soaked-in-peroxide puked-up rug, otherwise known as "an intestinal blockage waiting to happen".

We visited my brother today and were only gone a few hours. Apparently, Mac got a wild hair up his ass and ate several strips of the rug. The missing pieces total up to about 6 FEET of rug, in about 4-inch strips. The rug was still wet on the chewed edges when we came home, so I immediately gave him about a cup (total) of hydrogen peroxide and he puked up everything about 5 minutes later.

I think Mac and Degan are long lost brothers.

... Sorry about the rug, but I'm really glad he puked it all up. That had to be pretty scary.

Yay for you for making your dog barf it up!

Poor guy, he probably didn't expect all of that to happen after he killed the rug.

I was kind of feeling the same way... I think the last dog we induced at work with hydrogen peroxide had to have like... almost an entire bottle AND some apomorphine :p

So did we decide who won in the Mac-vs-area rug knock down?

Wow- he sure did a number on the area rug :jawdrop: !!! Glad you caught it when you did and the peroxide got it all out of him. I had to induce vomiting on Ino once when he decided "drop it" means "swallow it" because he did not want to surrender the mushroom that he picked up off the side of the trail (had a lot of them because of the heavy rain here). It resembled a ball so I think it attracted him but me trying to get him to drop it became a game to him, so he refused to come to me and refused to drop it- so swallowing it apparently seemed like a good solution....needless to say- after he barfed his entire stomach contents up, he decided to never try that again and listens to "drop it/ leave it" most of the time now (aside from the occasional deer poop pile, which he recently vomited a few pounds of on my area rug :rolleyes2: )!!!!!
