Food, Fitness and how to keep them healthy.

Darlene has been trying to find grass to eat outside. Didn't find any. Now she is BLOATED like a balloon. Keeps swallowing like she wants to throw up.

Peroxide or Animal Emergency????

My vote is for ER...if she's bloating, not much time...

I would call the vet and ask them first.

I know nothing about bloat, but unless you know for sure what she ate... I wouldn't do peroxide just yet.

We are home. X rays don't show bloat, but we have to keep an eye on it. Lots of gas in upper stomach. Vet gave her liquid anti-gas. Her stomach is not as extended, so I think we are out of danger.

My Vet called me when I was at Emergency Vet and talked me through everything. I love him.

They wanted her to stay overnight to monitor her, but that wasn't happening. I will monitor her and take tomorrow off to bring her in to my regular Vet.

THANK YOU EVERYONE! I was scared.

I really never considered her a fast eater. And I separate the four into different areas so no one has stress while eating.

Right now she is snoring next to me. :giggle:
