Have you recently applied any flea protection in that spot on his neck?

Can you get your Vet to look at it? If it was my dog, I would feel more comfortable getting the exact diagnosis then deciding on a treatment, if one was necessary. :|

He's about a year old, right? He could be blowing out his puppy coat and growing his adult coat in. Plus, the change of seasons usually will trigger a big shedding.

Do you see any dandruff or is he scratching a lot?

nope no scratching at all and yes he is a year in one month...wow I have had this little guy for a while now and I also left out that he went in the pool about a week ago and today he seems to love the water now since it is getting hot if that helps anything....if it gets bad I will take him to the vet but for now it just seems like he is doing a little bit of shedding since it is getting hot but I will pay attention to it
