I just got home and saw that Cooper had somehow gotten into a pack of Dentyne Spearmint gum. I looked it up online and it doesn't have xylitol in it, but the first ingredient was sorbitol- does this have the same effect that the xylitol has?? I read the post on the effect that xylitol can have and am freaking out a bit. Neither of my roommates are home so I don't know who's it was or how long ago he may have gotten into it.

I managed to get in touch with my vet. They weren't answering when I first got home, but they said he would be fine. He probably ate about 4 sticks. The vet said it didn't have the same effect as xylitol though. I think it gave him some extra energy, but no change other than that.
