Hope all goes well. The actual procedure isn't scary for Seppel.. My sister had a pup with one testical that she sold on a VERY reduced spay neuter contract to a 4-H family since it usually costs more to have the procedure done. It's not scary 9 times out of 10.. but Let us know if you need any help! :)

Don't worry Christine, he'll be fine. We had a female golden to be spayed today, we also ended up removing a bottle cap and some mop string from her stomach. Surgery took a little longer than usual, and she took a little more time to wake up, but she's doing great, so will Seppel! Sometimes when they're under anesthesia the retained testicle is easier to find in the abdominal cavity or inguinal canal and is quickly removed. :)

Thanks, everyone. :)

I don't think Seppel himself is the least bit concerned about the surgery - he LOVES the vet and the techs, and thinks they are awesome treat dispensers. :lol3:

I must say though - it is very strange to walk into the building and to not have to wrestle w/a Pit Bull who is unwilling to be touched by anyone. Or not to dope him up before each visit. Or not to have to bring a muzzle.
I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually.

I'm happy to see Seppel is doing well... Neutering is a breeze! I hope he's not licking at his incision, is he wearing a cone? If so we need pictures asap...
