He seems to think it prevents him from doing anything other than whine and bang into things. He stood outside this morning w/his head bowed, like he was paralyzed. I finally had to take it off so he would pee. :rolleyes2:

That inflatable e-collar I bought for Kayden has been a savior. If he really hates that giants plastic thing that much you should look into getting an inflatable one for him.

My guys think the e-collars are paralyzing as well. Poor Sepp..it'll get better, I promise.

I usually like to describe a crypt surgery like a female dog spay. There is some exploration and sometimes two incisions to find the other testicle. So, its an abdominal surgery, not just the scrotum. Sometimes its easy to find and they can squeak it thru the same incision, and sometimes there is more exploration needed to find the little bugger.
The recovery is like most abdominal surgeries. Restricted activity for about 7 days and some pain meds usually from the soft tissue damage. Due to anesthesia alone, they can be groggy and nauseous the first night and better by the next day, maybe a little achy.

Yep, he has two incisions... I looked this morning. They are each about 3-4 inches long. The stitches are supposed to dissolve on their own, so we won't have to go back to get them removed.

He's on two pain meds, so I don't think he's too achy... he's just pissed and whiney because he's stuck in the crate w/the body-paralyzing cone of shame on his head. :wink:

We found one at Petsmart (if you have one near you call over and see if they have any in stock).

Kayden was a mess in that plastic cone and busted the two we had within a day. The inflatable ones are much less restrictive and sooo much easier on the dogs.

I wore a rigid neck brace (Florida brace) for 11 months and I was 'whiney'.

Had to sleep sitting up.
