Puffy eye?

Food, Fitness and how to keep them healthy.

Buddah's right eye is all puffed up. I just back from running around and noticed it. My daughter had given her a couple treats earlier, which she threw up, so I immediately though allergic reaction but wouldn't that happen in both eyes? And these are treats she's had before so what gives?

Like I said, it's just the one eye so then I thought maybe a scratch or something? I have given her some Benadryl and it's come down considerably. I'm usually the first person to take one of the dogs into the vet at the mere hint of a problem but I gotta be honest here, I am trying to rush into paying emergency fees

Any ideas??

probably got a bug bite on her eyelid.
I'd be tempted to : wait, and if the swelling spreads to the rest of her face or worsens on the eye where it looks like the eyeball might be damaged, then I'd take her in.

You're right, its more likely to be equal swelling all around or hives all over if it's something she ate.
I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day, tomorrow doesn't look good either.

It could also be trauma like hitting it on something, could be an infection, a scratch, severe conjunctivitis... lots of possibilities. :|

I hope thing get better and that it is nothing serious! 8)

Holy crap, sorry guys! I gave her some benadryl and the swelling came down immediately. I looked in her eye as best as I could but didn't see anything. It didn't swell again after that so I guess all is well :|
