Treat ball needed

Food, Fitness and how to keep them healthy.

Postby SassyCassie » December 22nd, 2008, 11:04 am

I haven't gotten anything for Cassie yet for Christmas so something i can find locally would be best, but if it's really good, i am willing to wait (like she would know anyway)

I have this treat ball that she has to roll around and the treats fall out. She has figured it out and can empty the ball in about 5 minutes. I was looking for something more challenging, that would require her to think a bit about how to be rewarded. Any ideas?

I like the Leo personally...

I use it mainly for Score, and it'll occupy him for a while...I can shove treats/biscuits inside so he can crunch them, but I can also stick softer stuff in...so he can't just crunch it into little pieces. Treats can be shoved into the neck of the Leo...or peanut butter/cream cheese/etc can be put inside.

It's held up well to repeated squishing from Score's jaws. It's quiet too.

I also like the Treat Stik...http://www.treatstik.com/

I put kibble inside of it for Score...and he'll bang it around to get the treats out...but I'll also stick in some stuff that doesn't come out as easily (lamb lung, jerky) and he'll spend a while trying to chew them out.

I don't use them as much anymore...as they were geared towards keeping him busy at flyball tournaments...(and he runs now). But they used to keep him quite busy over a weekend. :)
