Looking at the photos, she looks pretty good to me. :)

Here are a couple of charts that may give you some help in determining her ideal body shape/weight:

Three cups? That's a lot of food!

I agree with the other posters, she doesn't look underweight at all to me.

A "three" is a little thin. You can try upping her food a bit and feeding her several times per day. If she's getting three total cups per day, give her 3 1/2 to 4 cups, but space it out over the day.

You can also add in fresh veggies and fruits, but do so slowly so she doesn't get diarrhea. Try potatoes and breads, too, again in small quantities to avoid stomach upset.

Your best bet is to feed her a better-quality food. Talk to your parents about switching her food to something more nutritious. If they're willing to do that, look at your local feed stores and find out what they offer, then tell us and we can help you pick the best food. :)

Quality nutrition. Pedigree is like eating junk food 24/7.

There are better, healthier foods out there.

Check out this site: http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_food_reviews/

And here's the review for Pedigree: http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_food ... 86&cat=all

Beneful is pretty bad, too. Have you checked your local feed stores? Or maybe PetCo?

It is better to buy your dog's food from a veterinarian, or a pet-oriented store. Grocery-type stores generally do not carry good brands of pet food.

Actually, once you buy a better kibble w/more nutritional value, your dog will eat less than what she consumes now.

And poop less too, which is always a bonus.
