The sky is falling

 ... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect from 6 PM this evening
to 3 am CST Saturday...

The Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect from 6 PM this
evening to 3 am CST Saturday.

Morning rains will change to a rain/snow mix by midafternoon
Friday for southeast Texas... and by late afternoon for the
remainder of southern Louisiana. The precipitation is expected to
change over completely to a light-to-moderate snow after sunset...
except for the immediate coast where a rain/snow mix will likely
persist. Accumulations of up to an inch are likely... with
localized amounts up to 2 inches possible. The snow will be ending
from west to east across the region after midnight.

Travelers are urged to use caution Friday afternoon through
Saturday morning. Temperatures are expected to fall below freezing
after midnight... and remain at or below freezing until shortly
after the Saturday sunrise. Thus... any remaining snow or moisture
on roadways may freeze during the overnight time period... creating
patches of poorly-visible black ice.

Motorized travel is discouraged.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.

It's not fair that TX and NM are getting snow and Cleveland hasn't had ANY. Not cool. >(

Well........ :| I hope everybody down there drives a bit more carefully=====we're a whole lot more used to it than some of those parts, THAT's for sure!!

But all the more reason to stay bundled up, stock up on movies/books (books for me), hot chocolate and STAY HOME. yes yes yes.
Home.

We're supposed to get our first snow on Saturday night. I hope it's actually SNOW and not ice.

What a Wonderful Reason to Stay Home, Snuggle In, Don't Leave, Read, and Enjoy the Joy of "having" to be Sequestered from the rest of the Chaotic Holiday Season!!

We're getting our first snow Sat. night too...and we'll be in York, PA for flyball...so hopefully it's not bad, and we can get home tomorrow night and out the next morning! :D I almost got stranded at a flyball tourney in Philly back in '03 during the blizzard...I made it home, but many had to get hotels.

I wish it would have snowed more, and lasted longer. Sure was pretty while it lasted.
