"King of Voiceovers" Don LaFontaine Dead At 68

Los Angeles, CA (AHN) - Voice over artist Don LaFontaine died Monday of complications relating to a collapsed lung.
LaFontaine was 68 years old.
LaFontaine's prolific voice has been hear in hundreds of thousands of commercials for both radio and television. Most recently taking jabs at himself in a rare on screen appearance in Geico insurance commercials.
Nicknamed "King of the Movie Trailers", LaFontaine has worked on more than 3,500 films, television shows and other projects. He had once claimed he can voice nearly 80 spots in a day.
LaFontaine is survived by his actress wife, Nita Whitaker, and three children.
