The Movie Thread

Grab some popcorn and watch a few flicks!

I saw "Remember the Titans" again last night. It's still a great movie. I am totally mystified as to why I like most football movies but can't stand football.

Running With Scissors is a really good movie! Sad and funny, scary and weird

28 Weeks Later - *shuddering* Wow - awesome!!!!!!! Very intense, definitely recommend watching it during the day, with all the lights on. I was literally sitting on the edge of my seat, leaning forward, about 3/4 of the way through the movie! Definitely as creepy as the first one. Those zombies are SCARY!!! :o

Well I finally watched 300, and it just wasn't for me, too gorey (however it's spelled the cow isn't working) for me... I'm not a blood person, and since I of course watched it alone, I fast forwarded through many of the battles. I can't say that I didn't like it, but I can't say I did either..

Liz, i loooooved "28 days later", but thought that "28 weeks later" was mostly about the gore of it all rather than a proper story (yes, zombie movies have storylines too :x !)

I had too high expectations on 300, still a pretty good flick though :)

I am still waiting to watch 3:10 to Yuma!

Island of Dr. Moreau - those two hours could've been better spent washing my hair, clipping Inara's nails, anything. My stepdad nailed it on the head when he said, "it makes Planet of the Apes look like Gone With The Wind."

Just returned Stranger than Fiction with Will Ferral. I was pleasantly surprised. Not like his usual roles, Old School, Night at the Roxberry etc. He played a fairly normal guy...and he did a good job at showing the general audience that he doesn't have to act like goof ball in all his moves. :p

I say 2

Has anybody seen Super Troopers yet? (I didn't see it on this thread) If not, I say put it on your To Rent list...hilariously funny!!!

I LOVE Supertroopers - at least the first half. Second half gets a little slower, but the first half just has me rolling all the time.

Stranger Than Fiction - just like Scout said, I was also pleasantly surprised. It had its funny moments, but it was definitely a break from Will Ferrel's usual character. I enjoyed it. :)

Capote - Phillip Seymour Thomas did a great job, though the movie itself was a little slow. Interesting, but not one I'd highly recommend.

Ghost Rider--THE worst movie I have seen in a long, long time. But yet, I can't stop watching it.

Trippy. Robert Downey Jr, Woody Harrelson, and Keanu Reeves are hilarious!
