So true. My trainer has two Rotties who were very well socialized, therapy dogs, blah blah blah. Well her male, Diesel, was about a year old and was out playing with his friend Monty, the brindle pit bull, who he played with since he was little. Well the pit attacked dopey Diesel. Diesel is now 2.5 and is terrified of anything that resembles a pit, or that is brindle (which sucks for me since the trainer is also the day manager at the kennel so Diesel is here in my house 5 days a week, and Wally is brindle). It was all because of one very bad experience.
