took a shelter dog home for the day

This is where to talk about Pit Bulls!

Postby pitbullforever » May 24th, 2006, 1:19 pm

so since i work at a humane shelter i told them that i wanted to bring a dog that i was thinking about home for a day and they agreed and he's GREAT!!!! i love him. he likes to chase the cats when they run from him but he's also afread of them when they stand their ground. he's such a good boy i think that i'm going to end up adopting him. i don't have any good pics of him yet so i'll just give ya the petfinder link until i can get some.

I'm SO happy you are taking him!

If he was a rottie, he would already be here with me. Dumb boys. :rolleyes2:

YES!

I'm going to call this woman in Long Island today about a 4 yr old female that she is getting rid of because she is pregnant and doesnt have the time, but I am open to anything. Age, sex, location doesnt really matter as long as it has "pretty rottie colors" lol It MUST be good with kids, though.

It would technically be my boyfriend's dog. He has rottweiler experience. I would be living with the dog for at least the summer, though.

so i just overheard my husband talking to his bro on the phone saying what a good dog he is *YES* thats great news!!! he does chase the cats though which i'm a little worried about. however he LOVES his crate (he must have been crate trained) so he'll never be left out with them alone. i'm also not sure if its agressive or if he just wants to play cause earlier today he was laying with the cats. at dinner today we were talking about our pets (we went out to eat with some freinds and left the dog in the crate while we were gone) and my husband told me that i'm def getting a dog. i'm really happy so far its working out :)

oh yeah while i was walking him today i found $20.00 laying on the ground that i wouldn't have found if i didn't have a dog to walk. what a great day.

See? It was meant to be!!! He looks so much like a dog I "knew" but he was blue.
