ROCHESTER PEOPLE PLEASE READ RIGHT AWAY

This is where to talk about Pit Bulls!

Postby mnp13 » August 1st, 2010, 10:04 pm

One of the people in my dog club found a Pit Bull wandering in Chili. It almost got hit by a car and she picked it up. She has a few dogs so can not keep him overnight, but does not want to bring him to the pound.

Can anyone take him in for short term?

He's friendly, good with dogs, seems to be in good condition.

Please PM me ASAP for her phone number.

No, and she called me this morning. Unfortunately, her neighbor heard the dog barking in her back yard and instead of coming over to see what was going on, they called the cops. They took the dog and brought it to the shelter. It's a suburb, so she asked them to contact her if they didn't find the owners and she's hoping that they do. The shelter he's at has been good about Pits in the past, but he didn't have any ID on him and who knows if he was chipped.

As far as I know right now, he's still at the Chili pound. I haven't heard anything else yet today.

Chili pound and not Riga right? I was just at the Riga pound and there were no pit bulls there. We were contacted about a dog being found on the side of 390 but I thought it was an 8 year old female. I have to go back and look!
