Hum, good luck with your surery! I can't believe how long it's taken for a doctor to decide to do something (especially that over your border, it's all private! you'd expect more-than-great medicine!)...

No more playing with long fabric objects and dogs, ever. Promised?

Hope you are recovering well.
I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day, tomorrow doesn't look good either.

They cut my foot open in two places, and... didn't find anything. Definitely not the abscess(es) they were looking for, and my surgeon says he's "stumped"... not a dx you want to hear AFTER they slice you like an Easter ham. >(
On the upside - my health insurance finally agreed to cover an MRI. I'm not an expert, but it seems to me that they're going about this backwards... an MRI would've been very helpful before having surgery done, but what do I know??? I'm "just" the patient. :rolleyes2: :bs: :crazy2:
More antibiotics and pain meds, back to the office on Monday to get the packing removed, and the dressing changed, and schedule an MRI. :nono:

My anesthesiologist has two rescued Pit Bulls and carries their pics in his wallet, so at least time flew by while I waited... lol
I also got a cute little velcro shoe to stuff my foot in, and it beats hobbling around barefoot. :D

I woke up this morning, drenched in sweat (despite the AC), and I thought for sure I had a temperature of at least 106... yikes! But, no - I was just sandwiched between Sepp and Faust who must've felt the need to keep a very close eye on me during the night... such good nurses they are... :giggle: :heartbeat:

So you don't need meds to be gorked, it's natural? :D

With nurses like that how could you not get well very quickly...nothing like a canine hug to make you feel better. Sorry that you don't have definitive answers...but at least they may get it right with an MRI??? :|

YIKES!
Sending you good healing vibes. I hope they can figure out what's going on in there and you can get the relief you need.

PS photos of the velcro shoe would be useful. ;)

For a donation of $10.00 and a new toaster I'll post a photo of the gross-ness that is now my foot. Two holes w/some white "string" (not sure WHAT that is, exactly) hanging out of it... :puke: :puke:
My bandages were all bloody, so I had to change the whole thing myself this afternoon... and since they only gave me gauze pads at the hospital (and nothing else :rolleyes2: ) I'm sporting some sexy lime-green vet wrap w/paw prints now to hold it all together.
