Survey about behavior of different breeds

This is where to talk about Pit Bulls!

I found this website yesterday after reading this blog entry: http://www.dogstardaily.com/blogs/why-d ... miss-point .

It is an organization taking input from people regarding their dog's behavior. It's being used as a study to see differences between breeds. For a while they're going to be allowing pet dog owners to participate. The survey is 101 questions and takes about 10-15 minutes. It covers how your dog acts around familiar people, strange people, familiar dogs and strange dogs. After you take it, you can see how your dog compares to other dogs of its breed, and other dogs in general. It's kind of interesting! Inara actually got gold stars for everything except for rolling in stinky crap and pulling on leash, lol .

My Inara got lots of red flags for social behaviors and double red flags for those too. :)

They didn't have Dutch Shepherd as an option for breed! :crazy2:

Okay...so I started my dogs...but then I realized that the scores will be "off" for some things just because of how my dogs are trained...

I don't know...

Overall, I thought it was kinda cool! However, I think the researchers need to covary age, type of training, etc when they do their analyses...

I agree 100%. Degan didn't do very well... and Harlow did pretty well. I don't think I interpreted the answering options quite right on Degan's though. It gave lots of double red flags on things that I think should have been just single red flags, or not flagged at all. haha.
Like for instance it said to be concerned about Degan's owner-aggression... but Degan is absolutely not aggressive to us at all. Maybe my answering could have been a little more thoughtful. I know Degan has issues, but not as bad as that made it out to be!
