I'm so glad that TIME did this story and that their coverage included the online photo gallery as well as the article in the magazine. I am SO frustrated because I haven't been able to find the actual print mag anywhere... Borders told me they would have it in tomorrow and I told them to set aside 10 copies for me!
TIME has posted a video story online as well.

Tim Rickey, HSMO's lead investigator and someone who will always be revered as a savior by my family, does a voice over as well. My only disappointment with TIME's coverage is that they didn't include anything beyond the investigation and rescue. Several of the dogs featured in their coverage have already been successfully integrated into foster and forever homes. I would have loved for them to share how Jakob (who went to Our Pack in NoCal), Dharma, and several other dogs are already training to earn CGC and therapy certifications. Telling the story of their victimization is important, of course... I just want the public to see that these dogs are capable of being loving companions in spite of the abuse people have inflicted on them.
BTW, you can get updates on Fay and other MO bust dogs on the blog I manage for the rescue I volunteer with, Mutts-n-Stuff:
http://muttsnstuff.wordpress.com/ Fosters and adopters are still needed. I know many of the rescues around the country where dogs have been or will be placed, so if you're interested but don't know who to contact, just PM me and I can either tell you or find out if there is one in your area.
