Jessie has never met someone in a wheelchair before... It just never happened.
We were coming back from playing frisbee and she was all nice and relaxed. We stopped at a red light, she sat on the corner. Besides us was a man in an electric wheelchair crossing the street. He started making little noises, and at first I tought, "Oh, maybe we're in the way and he's trying to get Jessie to move" so we moved a little.
The man stopped his wheelchair, put his hand out to her and said "Your dog really dosen't look mean" (it was in french, an expression hard to translate but basically it meant that she looked like a nice dog). I let him pet her, and I was a little nervous, she had never been so close to a wheelchair before.
She gave all her attention to the elder man, lifting her head up to him in delight, wagging and softly licking his hand. Didn't even notice the wheelchair! I was so happy... The man was too, and Jessie was in bliss.
I love little moments like this.
After that she was trying to get some love from every single person on the street...
