If he is threatening you with a lawsuit if you check on the dog, I think that is clear violation of the contract.

This has gotten a "little" weird. He's waaaaaay too defensive.

I second that...I'm assuming you have a copy of the contract?

Yes I do...
I contacted a few people and as long as the dog is not being abused, or starved, beaten..There really is not much I can do..I can not just hall the dog out because we differ on opinion on training :|

Heres the thing, when I found out Riggs was coming and that he was in sad shape, I took Bucket and went through PAWS (Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society) with him..So MY contract was not used, PAWS contract was...And I contacted the person who runs PAWS, whom I thought was a friend of mine, and in return told me there was nothing I could do, unless I provide proof that he is abusing the dog...And the only reason I went through PAWS was to get Bucket nuetured so I could empty my bank account on Riggs...

Give me a few minutes I will scan the contract and put it up here...

Here is the link to the contract, It would be too small for anyone to read if I posted it up here..

But, doesn't he have to uphold his end of the contract to allow it to stand? Is there any way you can find out what time he is training and show up then, where he trains?

Where is this guy located? Based on location, I may be able to find out who is selling him/her self as the trainer....

the contract states that :
Inspections may be conducted on any given day, during respectful hours.
If I am found to be in violation of this contract, I understand that upon demand, I am obligated to surrender the animal immediatly...

That right there, is your way of getting him back, legally. If he is threatening you with a harassment charge when you want to do a home check, he is in breach of the contract, and is "obligated to surrender the animal immediately."
That's the way I would go about it. :|
Good luck :hug3:

I know quite a few "real" protection trainers in that area...let me just see if they know who MIGHT be saying they can do protection training...

Yeah, that's actually a VERY good point...if he emailed you and said that if you contacted him again he'd file harassment charges...well, that seems like he's in violation...

I agree with everyone else, as far as the guy being in breech of the contract by threatening to sue you for following up on the dog - go get him back, Moe.

I'm pretty sure, if his contract is with PAWS, they would have to be the ones to enforce it. :sad2:

I hope I'm wrong.

Nope Christine you are right..This is why I am talking to lawyer peoples..Since the person who I talked to from PAWS tells me I can not do anything, because the dog is not in any health risk, or being abused...But to me improper training is creating a loaded weapon, dangerous to the public..I am not going to say it that way...But I am going to word it in a manner that he is improperly training the dog, and improperly training it to be a protection dog...

Well... he is certainly "endangering the physical AND emotional well-being" of Bucket this way. :cuss:
Abuse comes in many shapes and forms. You don't have to starve or beat a dog to cause harm.

Asshat. :nono:

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. :hug3:

UPDATE::

I went over to his house, suprisingly he was very civil and nice, Bucket greeted me with extreme happieness, but quickly went back to his owner...We sat down and discussed everything, and he honestly says he is not going to protection train Bucket, that everything I told him really sunk in...I offerd to give him names if he wanted to train Bucket correctly...Bucket is happy there..And I am glad that he was civil about it and let me in..He said he was having a bad day that day and that the trainer was bashing on him about the couple sessions, and that I was wrong...I still did not get the name of the trainer...He did not want any names of trainers, that he is happy with Bucko just the way he is...And that I can visit whenever I want...As long as I call to make sure he is home...Bucket looks great..Healthy and clean and well fed, he showed me all of buckets stuff, he has a toy box, and a very plush dog bed...I am comfortable with this...

Oh I plan to check on him often...And I told his owner that, he seemed really ok with that, which struck me odd :? He went from being an asshole..to all of a sudden very ok with everything..Maybe he understands that I can not be scared off...And that I am serious about what I do...Maybe me going face to face, i dont know..I am not one to back down or take things lightly...

Phew! This looked like a big dirty mess if he kept wanting to ge Bucket in with that trainer... At least in the future he knows if he does change ideas and wants to go through PP, that you have the right resources.
