I was told to update, so I will. I'm on a crappy keyboard so beware of typos and uncapitilized letters.

I didn't want to write an update until I know more but I don't want to keep people in the dark all the time either so here goes.

Sofie is still doing fairly well. She's eating and running around and what not but since giving the carboplatin her skin infection is back. She has like little red hives all over her body so we're back on antibiotics. I have to check the calendar but she'll be due for chemo next week I think with doxorubricin. She sounds more congested to me, she isn't sneezing a lot but at night she sounds congested in her sleep. She's been doing some hacking/back snorting it doesn't seem to bother her but it worries me out. She also does a lot of groaning, I don't know if it's old age or what because she never used to groan. :|

She also lost about a pound which can't have to do with the homemade diet because I've had a hard time finding chicken leg quarters so she's been getting some n/d. It's a pretty fatty food so she shouldn't be losing weight, so I don't know :|

Mostly, I am just glad we made it through Christmas and that she can still run and jump and still wants to eat.

More good thoughts from us too. Sophie really looked good in the pictures you posted. Take it one day at a time and make those decisions as they present themselves.

I'm glad to read that Sofie is feeling good! The moaning/groaning could be just old age. Good thoughts still coming from us! :goodthoughts:

Sofie had a treatment of doxorubricin today.

Sofie has come to the point where she hates having a catheter placed, I can't really blame her. Her veins are flabby and totally suck now but that's to be expected as she's had five chemo treatments. She really didn't panic too much this time but we did give her Ace IM [no atropine this time] and the tech who placed the catheter was really gentle and did a good job.

The vet looked at her today and said that she can still breathe out of her right nostril! I am very excited for that because even though she sounds more congested in her nose, she can still breathe which means hopefully that the tumor isn't really getting that much worse, yay!

She's back onto her homemade diet, she has put on almost 2lbs which I am very happy with. Like I keep saying, she seems pretty dang happy I'm going to be sure to spend as much time as I can with her this year and take lots of pictures and make lots of good memories.

You have a great attitude going for you, Suzanne. That helps so very much. It keeps you strong and Sophie will feed off your emotion. You guys are fighting a great battle, you're always in my thoughts.

Sofie barfed up her breakfast yesterday. She puked when we got home. She's been getting metoclopirimide[sp?] She's been trying to puke this morning but produces nothing, I can tell she feels dumpy. I'm going to take her in, give her some subq fluids and see about an anti vomiting injection.
