Hey!

Tomorrow is a big day for Vinny. He gets an xray along with chemo #5 around 5:00. The xray will show us what the tumor is looking like and if anything has changed. The last xrays were taken a few days after the initial one that found the tumor. Please keep them the good vibes and positive thoughts coming! Look at how far they've taken us already!!!

Thanks as always from me and big, PB, stinky, kisses from Vinny!

Woo Hoo!

We have a GREAT REPORT for you!!!!

The tumor is no longer visible! It has shrunk to practically nothing!!! Dr. B said if she was looking at the xray, not knowing anything about the animal, she would say "I see a couple of little spots here that we should keep an eye on, but it looks good". No huge, angry mass there anymore!!! I mean, seriously, even I could see the huge difference the second she put those xrays up and I'm NOT a medical person. I'm so happy! Vinny's lungs look great, heart is in good shape, and his trachea which had been pushed way up because of the mass has moved back to where it should be.

Vinny's blood work looked good. Liver is normal, creatinine up a bit, BUN down, Calcium is up a little so we are not cutting his pred, white cells and platelets are in the normal range. Vin is becoming less anemic - that number is up several points. I am cutting the Mackerel out of his diet for now because of the higher blood calcium and we will see next week if that makes a difference. I'm also going to look at the diet information again to make sure I'm only giving him a minimal amount of calcium in his diet.

Vinny gained two more pounds and is up to 66.3# now. I cut back on his food intake a bit this past week so that's why he didn't have so big a gain as last time. He is pretty close to his normal weight range now.

Everything is going just super right now. I know Vin is not out of the woods yet, and we have to continue the chemo, but I'm just so pleased with his progress thus far.

Vinny and I want to once again thank each one of you for all the positive energy you are sending our way. We are also very, very thankful to Vinny's Angel for making this possible. You know how they say it takes a village to raise a child? Well you all have proven that it takes a village of dog lovers to conquer canine cancer!

Thank you!
