I wasn't going to post about this here

Here is where we can discuss canine cancers and treatment options to create a support system for those dealing with the disease.

I just read this! Good thoughts for Ella in her recovery!

She may not be hungry because she may have had surgery fluids ;)

I'm glad to hear that she's back home with you! I'm so sorry you have to wait for the results...I know how that is...you just want the results NOW!

I'm keeping fingers and paws crossed over here for good news!

Please give her a hug and butt scratch for me!

Thanks, guys!

Malli, that makes sense and her lack of thirst didn't concern me, really, it was more the fact that her tummy was super empty and I needed to get something in it so I could give her pain meds to help her feel a little better.

Christine,
Here's pics.

This was one I took when she was trying to hold her head up and her eyes open.

And here's one of her stitches.

Sorry, guys! I've been busy grocery shopping and cleaning all day.

Yes, I got pain meds in her. We put her bed in our bedroom last night and she slept next to our bed AFTER she decided that sleeping in bed with us wasn't allowing her enough room.

She's back to Ella today! I allowed her one of her bad cuz balls yesterday when we got home (I had taken them all away because she kept annoying the living crap out of me with them when I would try to study) and she's been squeaking away at it. I'm hesitant to allow her to do too much as that area just looks so...fragile to me. So far she has not messed with her stitches at all.

She's getting plenty of love and she's back to following me up and down the stairs as I do laundry and clean.

Thanks again!

I am SO glad that Ella is back to acting like herself. I'm sure you're a lot less worried!

Please give her butt scratches for me...

One word - Screwdriver. I desqueaked Agatha's Cuz by cracking the plastic squeaker thing with a screwdriver (she's an obsessive squeaker, will go for HOURS).

Vet person called. Good news: The histopath results came back and they removed healthy tissue as well. So, basically, it was a COMPLETE removal.
The news I don't know if it's good or bad is: The tumor is a stage 2. From what I researched, I'm unsure of whether or not it's a high grade stage 2 or a low grade stage 2, they didn't tell me because they probably don't know. When we bring her in to have her stitches removed, they're going to show us how to feel her lymph nodes and give us a copy of the report. She said there is no reason to be alarmed as of right now. I mean, they DID remove healthy tissue, so it was a complete removal.
