Dumpster Update

Here is where we can discuss canine cancers and treatment options to create a support system for those dealing with the disease.

Thank you all for your comments, they made me feel really good. Dumpster's surgery was postponed. The vet ran some blood work and found his liver enzemes were up. I wrote two of them down. ALKP was 1033 and his ALT was 884. They put him on some medication and I go back and have it rechecked in a month. So now we wait again.

Oh, that's too bad. Hopefully the liver counts will stabilize and the surgery can happen soon.

I'm sorry :( Good luck with his counts, and the meds. I'm sure the waiting is horrible, all on its own.

I'm sure you're anxious waiting, but at least you have a vet that is knowledgeable and has Dumpster's best interests in mind. :)

That stinks! I'm so sorry! You may want to talk to a holistic vet and see what supplements can help the liver. I think it is milk thistle so that may be something to look into
