I'm glad that he did better with his visit to the vet. I think he probably knows how important the visits are and wants to make you happy.

That is SO awesome Christine! Mick is willing to work with you!
There is a training protocol that you can do with Mick to get him acclimated to being relaxed when he is going through exams and having to be handled by strange people, and it is a bonding activity for you and he as well.
Being as relaxed as possible is as important to his treatment as the meds, and will make a huge difference in his well-being.
It is a trust restraint, if you are interested in hearing about it, let me know!
Keeping Mick in my prayers...what a good boy!

He got Cytoxan and Furosemide, and he is still on Prednisone for the next five days. He also lost 8 pounds in a week...
He's eating okay, and the side effects were hardly noticeable... he just REALLY had to pee a lot from the diuretic... :)

Kato once lost 6-7 pounds in a week, but gained it back. I hope the same holds true for Mick!

If you're doing the same protocol as we are, the Cytoxan will be given orally for the rest of the treatment and they don't have to have the diuretic. Kate wasn't bothered by the Cytoxan at all.

Good Luck with chemo today Mickey & Christine!!! ((((Hugs))))
