Mr. Leonard Bernstein

Postby iluvk9 » March 7th, 2011, 11:43 am

Oh, how I loved you. I only had you for 2 and a half short years, but I will cherish every one of them. Good-bye, my friend.

If anyone would like to do something special in his memory...

I would like to honor every year he was here. Please send $13.00 to Clackamas County Dog Services, in his name. The symbolism to me, is a dollar for every year of his life, to help another Golden. Diana, I ask that any donations in Lenny's memory be used for the next Golden/mix that passes through Clackamas. Thank you.

He lived more in those 2.5 yrs then he did in all of the rest of his life.

I'm so sorry, Joyce.
I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day, tomorrow doesn't look good either.

So, being me, I felt I had to tell the other dogs what happened. I believe they sensed something was wrong with him. It was probably the first time the three of them just calmly sat with me as I talked. I am sure part of it was them just reading my emotional state, but I am glad I did it.

So sorry to hear this new. You guys were so very lucky to have each other for the 2 1/2 years that you did. *hugs* and you'll be in my thoughts.
