Thank you. I am wishing my days away so I can pretend the pain will be less.

Oh my, Joyce, I missed that whole thread about him...

I'm so sorry.

The short time he had with you made it up for the other 11 1/2 years of crap he had to go through. I only wish he could have been living with you all along, but not every dog has that luck.

He trusted you, you turned him around. You know that you have made a huge difference in this dog's life and he could probably never thank you enough for that, more than any life comforts and luxuries.

Rest in peace Lenny-Bo-Benny. He can rest in PEACE because of you, Joyce. I hope silly memories of him, or him just acting like a dog, will bring a smile to your face amongst the tears.

Thank you....I do have moments of smiling about his antics. Just a few weeks ago, I was texting Missy on how I couldn't get him to come inside, so I "gave him the finger" and let him stay out there. And on Thursday, he wouldn't come in, so called my DIL and told her to "come over and get her dog inside", because sometimes when someone "new" showed up, he would just pretend he was coming in, all along.

Lenny will now be resting in a beautiful urn, compliments of Missy and Dee. Thank you, ladies.

That is very nice. Simple, yet elegant - like Lenny!

I got the photo frame a while ago, and knew it was a saying for Lenny, but didn't have the right photo. I think the words are so fitting. The urn has the heart prints (my favorite symbols are hearts) and the same paw prints. I haven't set him up in his new resting place yet, but I will soon. Seeing those ashes is difficult, as many of you know. It sort of makes it very real. :sad2:

I put his ashes in it. Now he is truly home, in my mind.

I felt the same way when I was able to put Sofie's ashes in her urn. Like you said, having their ashes makes it feel very real, but for me it made me feel better having her home with me. Even though she's in a different physical form it feels good to have her here.

Me, too. I didn't think it was matter, but it was such a relief to have Simon home again. Now I can go say hello to him and he's not missing out on what's going on in the house.

Lenny's urn is really beautiful. :hug3:
