Labradork Winter Coat Attempt

If it's a non-human, non-Pit Bull, family member, post it here!

Postby iluvk9 » January 27th, 2007, 10:26 am

My friend had a Great Dane coat she wasn't using, so she gave it to Truman. Unfortunately, it isn't big enough. The front panel is too small, and the strap that goes around his belly is so tight, he wouldn't move. When he sat down, the velcro popped open. I guess I have to go to Neo Mastiff size?

I imagine Truman isn't too terribly upset that it didn't fit. He doesn't look all that impressed, must be because it's a little too pink for him? lol

Yes, you are both right. :( I was thinking I am doing a good thing for him, and he just "froze in his tracks". I couldn't even get him to walk in the darn thing. It was like the time I wrapped his leg because he started licking and I was afraid it was lick granuloma. He just STOOD there with his leg up. Such a doof. :)

Joyce - measure Truman and I'll use his measurements in my sewing class tomorrow. I'm teaching them how to draft patterns from scratch. He can be an honorary guinea-pit.

Measure:

From the back of his neck to the base of his tail
Around his chest just behind his doggie elbows
Around his doggie waist or tuck
Along his side from his elbows to his tuck
Around his neck below where his collar sits
Across the front of his chest, just above his front legs
From the base of his throat to the base of his chest

Hmmm, let me see. I have.........
- two tupper bins large enough to put a body in that are CRAMMED full of material.
- 4 of the regular tupper bins CRAMMED full.
- 2 large roll-a-ways of fabric under my bed, my bed is very high too
- at least six of those super duper huge ziplock bags big enough to put a pit bull in CRAMMED full to splitting
- and lots more in the ziplock bags big enough to fit a scottie in that are hidden in the basement, attic, closets, at work and other places so my husband won't make me admit that I have a fabric addiction

I think I have enough fabric to dress Truman in a different outfit everyday from now until the Fourth of July without wearing anything twice and with plenty left over. lol

I think Truman just needs a pony blanket rofl

LMAO. Your house must be stuffed to the rafters.

I actually was going to go to a local riding shop. I will bring him and they can see my pony.

2 body bins and 3 large bins in the basement. One large bin in my closet with current project fabric. Pit Bull sized zipper bags in the cedar closet downstairs.

The rest are hidden behind, under, in and over other things. TALL closets are my friend.

1. 17
2. 25
3. 17.5
4. 8
5. 17
6. 7
7. 8
