The little cutie is a little girl that was allegedly found wandering a semi-busy street near us. Somebody in a carpet cleaning van stopped at our driveway while DH was unloading the truck and asked if we lost a dog. DH said no. The guy showed DH this pretty little girl and said she just showed up. He had never seen her before and he had to go to work. So DH took her and brought her in. No signs are posted that we saw so far. Nothing in the paper yet either.

She looks like a short Lab with slightly longer hair. She is very well behaved and quite calm. She is a love sponge and always wants to be petted.

 Woah! Let's not get too excited about this, ladies. We still have to make it to the vet's to have Velvet scanned for a chip.

Yes, we named her. Yes, we planned on keeping her. But...

I'm back from the vet's office. This little lady is in fact chipped and her owners live around the corner from us (a big corner, but real near by). The owners are out of town but I did speak to the owner's mother. DH and I are keeping the little lady here with us until the owners get home. Then we will make arrangements to drop her off at her home.

No clue who was watching her and neither does the Mother. She was very surprised to find out the dog was not at a vet's office because they usually drop her at a vet's (not mine) to be looked after.

But DH and I plan on telling the owners we would be more than happy to dog-sit for this little cutie any time.

awe and what's her real name?

can you imagine if you were watching the dog, and it was missing, and you were freaking.... or if the vet was supposed to be having her and she ran from there?

I wonder how long they are gone for.

That's kinda what I was wondering...

I hope the owners are responsible...I'll refrain from making any judgments...for now...

But I'm glad you guys found her and were able to take her in and keep her safe!!!
