So the only question now is...

If it's a non-human, non-Pit Bull, family member, post it here!

Should we give up and order her a Collarmania collar NOW or should we keep trying to find her that 'perfect' home...????

Here, Noel makes herself comfy with a few of the stuffies that came in their Christmas box.

She is a sweetie. I am sure she is adoptable! Are you going to do anything cosmetic with her eye? That might make her more appealing. Like sew it shut or does she have vision from it? I think someone wanting a special dog would like her.

But then again what a better home than your own!! Its so hard when you get the special ones in.

The only applicant so far has been some psychotic idiot who called our VET of all things, behind our backs...only to find out there WAS no dog under that name at "our vet". He told us this as if to catch us in a lie...!!!
That's because she's being seen at a different vet, not to mention, she's been listed under her original rescuer's name. DUH!!
Needless to say, we nixed his app...
I'm not saying she's NOT adoptable, I think she is, regardless of her eye...it's just going to take a while to find a GOOD home and not just one who feel sorry for her.
The applicant in question leaves 10 hours a day and the dogs are confined to outdoors, it would be her and 2 others (a Rottie and another dog) alone, unattended.
Either that or 10 hrs. in a crate which, with her condition(s??) would not be good!!
Not to mention that the moment we leave for town she heads for the couch which has become her favorite sleeping place...somehow the outdoors cannot compare...!?

What happens if you have her eye sewn shut and the muscles keep trying to open it? Doesn't that annoy them?

I am glad she found her forever home. :)

Actually, they take off most the eyelid too. It's not like they even have one left. It's not a BAD thing - it will be up to the vet when she's spayed if she wants to do something w/the eye or not ;)

I agree.... no better home than you can give her... no more love than you could give her either!

And my dogs with only one eye dont have any problems with their eyes that are no more. Its like they dont know its gone. Little kids think it is crazy and are always wanting to touch it...lol.

G'bye Noe...

Noelle went to a new home yesterday, she's now living in Tacoma.
It's the perfect home - we checked and double checked.
She'll have it just like here, no expectations so whatever she gives is a blessing.
She is afraid of riding in cars (we learned that while she was here) but I know once settled in there, and fed and loved, she'll be fine!!
LOL She peed on the (leather) seat and they were like, "Oh, well, where's a towel?" I know they will love her as much as we all did :-)
Oh, and I waited to cry until after they left...
They were already afraid they were taking "our" dog, but we had all talked about it and knew this is the perfect home - we could not ask for better!
So I didn't want to break down in front of them...!!!
She went from being a forever foster to a forever loved and OWNED dog...I'm so pleased...but we miss her!
Here you go-
Trying to make a break for it!
Image

At one point she DID jump out and tried to run off!
Got her back in-
