Out with the old, in with the new

If it's a non-human, non-Pit Bull, family member, post it here!

She'll feel better soon...she's in good hands...I'm sure if she's miserable she's probably still happy to be loved by somebody. Poor girl. And I agree on the new name. :)

I just saw this post...

My friends adopted a Westie this past February. They drove 12 hours each way in a major snow storm to get him. He was 5 years old when the family got a Golden Retreiver puppy for Christmas. He was in the shelter before New Years.

People like that need a slap or two (or three)

I'm glad she's doing better!

Geez. Or 4 even, I'd be glad to help out, too!!
Poor Susie is doing good, but not "better" per se. Her mouth has an infection and her eye has an infection and she may need an eye "flush" into her draining tube that goes from eye to nose, and packed with antibiotics in there.
She's going to drain our bank acct!!

Susie went to a terrific home in the Seattle area yesterday. They didn't want to pick her up until Dec. 28(???) and I told them that would not do, at all!
They talked about it and decided to bring her home now. She will see their vet, I'm having all her records faxed to their vet today.
Her latest health check up showed some infection still so she was on another 10 days of Amox.
Anyway--she's doing terrific in her new home, they updated me last night when they got home!

OMG - this brought a tear to my eye...

Hi Yvette,

Susie asked that we drop a line for her
to let you know that she now wants to be know as "Z" formally known as the unwanted Dachshund Susie
a he has chosen to drop the first part of her name because shes starting her life over.

she is how ever forever in your debt, and will never forget all that you and your husband have done for her

pictures soon to fallow

love and paws

"Z"
